The station has only measured brightness since 6 Oct 2026 — there was no sensor before that. Earlier days carry nothing there, not a zero; the same goes for the sunshine duration derived from it.
The sensor measures up to 100,000 lx and sits at the top of its range in bright sunshine — there the figure means “at least”, not “exactly”. Above roughly 50,000 lx it jumps in coarse steps and below that it measures finely, so a flat stretch of the curve is not necessarily steady light.

Sunshine duration is calculated, not measured: a minute counts when the sun is above the horizon and the brightness sensor exceeds 14,000 lx at the same time — the WMO threshold of 120 W/m² of direct radiation. A lux sensor, however, reads global radiation; bright high fog can look like sunshine to it. The figure is an approximation.
